Doing The Work of The Inner Teacher

What is a Teacher’s Retreat?

The Art of Skillful Teaching Teacher’s Retreats are a unique and inspiring blend of skill-building — including cutting edge techniques in movement, teaching and business — coupled with opportunities for personal rest and rejuvenation.

Teachers will be introduced to a variety of awareness and self-inquiry techniques to support longevity and freshness in their teaching.  Participants will also attend daily workshops in advanced teaching skills and techniques, developing a higher level of mastery in teaching through learning how to nurture and inspire their inner teacherbuild healthier student and community relationships, and foster a greater sense of purpose through their work.

Topics will or may include:

1. Advanced Teaching Techniques through body brain science, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.

2. Developing a Teaching Presence – Seeing and Being Seen: Understanding and accentuating natural talents for greater potency and transmission in all teaching situations; learning how to handle difficult students, scenarios, and business relationships.

3. Building and Growing a Value-based Business: Understanding your teaching path based on your core commitments, values, and goals as well as tools for staying connected and on track over the long run.

4. Integrating Strategies to Boost Business:  Including simple, and immediately implementable marketing tools, how to retain students, how to define and get in front of your “ideal client”, creating no-brainer cost analysis for new endeavors, developing new programming and much more!

All retreats are lead by veteran teacher, and author Chantill Lopez, and will include movement classes, an abundance of free time for rest and relaxation, and a daily opportunity to build community around common goals and challenges. Guest teachers are often invited to present on other areas of expertise such as yoga philosophy, brain/body science, business, and meditation.

You can arrange to host retreats in your area or near you customized to your staff and the needs of your studio as well as create destination retreats in exotic and/or special locations such as Mexico, Bali, Sonoma County, Italy and more.
